Ljubica Vukomanovi was Princess consort of the Principality of Serbia as the wife of Milo Obrenovi I, Prince of Serbia, and the founder of the Obrenovi dynasty, which ruled Serbia in an almost unbroken line from the time of his election as Prince to the May Overthrow in 1903. Ljubica married Milo in 1805 and became Princess of Serbia onNovember 1817 until her husbands abdication onJune 1839. She had at least seven surviving children.

She was born in September 1788 in Srezojevci, Serbia, the daughter of wealthy proprietor Radoslav Vukomanovi and first wife Marija Damjanovi however, the exact date is unknown. In 1805 she married Milo Obrenovi, who onNovember 1817 was elected the Prince of Serbia, making her Princess consort. Ljubica was active and influential in Serbian politics. Her marriage, however, was volatile, she often disagreed with her husband, and at one time they separated. Milo was frequently unfaithful to her and on one occasion she came close to killing one of his mistresses in a violent physical attack.
